About Me

I'm studying hard to be a Librarian, with three casual jobs and two teenage children.

I now have a web presence, and it's a little daunting.

The Learning 2.0 program would be good for all people, not just public library staff, to introduce them to the vagaries of the new technologies. There is so much information (if only a body knew where to find it) and the program makes it available in a compact, easy to follow series of steps. We all need to keep up to date with technologies, especially if we are working in an area requiring some expertise, and I am enjoying the interactive learning experience which provides my with the opportunity to test my Internet wings.
Many of the library Blogs we have visited as part of the Learning 2.0 program seem to be funnelling information one way, with few postings from community members, so they act as a notice board rather than as a chat room.

The time of posting is somewhat disconcerting, as I am not really sitting at my computer at a quarter to one in the morning.

Totally agree.

We will be in a position to share our new knowledge and open an opportunity to the community to see what is new, well at the speed that technology moves this is not going to be new for too long.

Once upon the time people used to come to the library to learn about the internet and email but now they come to learn about ...

and you will be there helping

Ciao

Some photos just make you stop and think about their beauty, and this is one for me:
